Jackson Hole Wyoming

Jackson Hole is a 50-mile-long valley surrounded by three mountain ranges. If that does not sound enticing enough, consider that the area is enveloped by national forests, wilderness areas and wildlife refuges. You come to this part of the country not because you love nature but, because you're passionate about it. Throughout the area are many opportunities for wildlife viewing, and one special spot is the National Elk Refuge, where in winter you can take a horse-drawn sleigh ride through a heard of more than 10,000 elk. Be sure to visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art that overlooks the National Elk Refuge.

Downhill and cross-country skiing and snowmobile tours are always popular here in the winter. But, summertime seems to open up an even wider range of outdoor activities, from fishing and rafting to horseback riding and hiking.

Jackson Hole  plays host to a number of attractions, including a few dozen art galleries, a historical museum, rodeos, golf and tennis, and the Grand Teton Music Festival. Perhaps the most alluring aspect of Jackson Hole is it's proximity to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, both within 60 miles.
